  • Calvin Mathew - CEO

    Calvin is a senior at American Heritage Broward. He is a passionate science research student, with years of experience in groundbreaking tissue engineering and regenerative medicine projects. His forte is clinical needs-finding, where he identifies unmet healthcare needs and develops innovations to solve them. In the lab, this has led him to develop novel scaffolds, implants, and sensors which have won international awards. Through his research, he has worked in university settings and shadowed physicians to fully experience the cycle of care, from diagnosis to surgery to discharge. Based on many issues he has discovered in this career, he hopes to translate his passion for science research into business and products as an entrepreneur. He ultimately aims to become a physician-engineer and create medical innovations to revolutionize patient care.

  • Likhitha Selvan - COO

    Likhitha is a senior at American Heritage Broward. She is deeply involved in scientific research, with years of experience in the neuroscience and cellular biology field. Conducting her own research at universities has allowed her to build strong problem-solving skills as well as become a published scientist. Beyond academics, Likhitha is deeply involved in other service initiatives aimed at bringing educational resources to students interested in scientific research, as well as kids’ safety and health. Volunteering her spare time at the Memorial Hospital and shadowing doctors, Likhitha immerses herself in the practicalities of healthcare. She hopes to combine her interest in medical service and research in the future to lead other health initiatives to eventually make health accessible to all.

  • Sebastian Estrada - CFO

    Sebastian is a senior at American Heritage Broward. He is a member of the biomedical engineering program offered at the school where he has spent the past three years exploring the intricacies of joining medicine with engineering design. As a member of this program, he has taken academic coursework including anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, and engineering design. He has additionally exercised a combination of his creative liberties and learned skills by working on various projects in labs and workshops—from performing dissections to building birdhouses. Also a member of the #1 math competition team in the state, Sebastian is experienced when critical thinking and resilience is required to solve challenging issues, whether on a test or in the community. He seeks to use this unique combination of skills to confront headfirst the issues that plague our society through engineering innovation.

  • Iris Fan - CMO/CSO

    Iris is a senior at American Heritage Broward. She is a member of the Pre-Medical program offered by the school where she has taken relevant coursework including Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology. She is heavily involved with the Pre-Medical Society at American Heritage which works with a local hospital to give back to the community. Also a member of the Scientific Research program, she enjoys research into both behavioral and regenerative neuroscience fields which has made her a great problem-solver and determined with any task put forth. Iris hopes to incorporate her medical experience and connections to be able to put together a strong, coordinated organization that can give back to the community that she is so heavily involved with.
